Overview
It is your turn to be the speaker at your local Rotary Club program next week. You have been asked to develop a 15-minute presentation that describes how your school district is addressing its low student reading scores and how you are conducting a program evaluation. Many of the Rotary Club members are parents or grandparents of students attending your public schools. They are not happy about the declining reading scores in your district and are demanding that the entire reading program be evaluated.
- Share a summary of what you would present to the Rotary Club.
- Discuss the data-driven relationship between student reading scores and the structure of your program evaluation of the district’s K–12 reading program.
- Pose at least 2 questions that you anticipate having to answer after this presentation.
